It is with great pleasure that we welcome all of the delegates who will be attending the CACPR 2019 Annual Meeting and Symposium.

The Canadian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (CACPR) is now accepting registrations for the Spring 2019 Annual Meeting and Symposium! This clinically based conference benefits practitioners in the filed of cardiac rehabilitation, healthcare providers caring for cardiac patients, and others with an interest in chronic disease management. This year's theme is Tailoring Delivery of Chronic Disease Management and Cardiac Rehabilitation: Optimizing Care in the Community. Topics such as enhancing behaviour change skills in health care providers, innovative ways of enhancing heart failure care in the community, engaging with first nations and Metis individuals and communities, and technological supports to improve your chronic disease management and cardiac rehabilitation programs will be featured.

The conference is scheduled for June 14 -15, 2019 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the University of Saskatchewan.

Social Events

The CACPR planning committee has been busy organizing some fun social events for this year’s meeting! We hope that you will join us for a fun evening at Palliser Gardens. We will also be holding a 3-5km walk or jog Saturday morning!

Friday, June 14 – Palliser Gardens
Join us for a Saskatchewan Feast in the Palliser Gardens located within the University Campus.  You will be treated to live entertainment while networking with colleagues under the beautiful Saskatchewan sky.

Time: 6:00 P.M. — Buffet dinner to follow

Saturday, June 15 - 3-5K Fun Run/Walk
Pack your running shoes!

Start your Saturday morning with a jog or brisk walk. You will explore the beautiful University of Saskatchewan campus, connect to the popular Meewasin Trail, and meander along the historic North Saskatchewan River. 

This is a non-competitive event that is a great way to kick start your day with some physical activity. We will have guides ("pace bunnies") to lead the way. The goal will be to have you back by 7:00 - 7:15 A.M. so that you can get ready for the day. We have a 3km and 5km course mapped, however you can do any variation of this.

How to register: Upon registration for the event, please click "Yes" or "Undecided" and read and accept the waiver.
